直訳は「問題の外」。意味は「絶対むり」「不可能な」といったときに使います。

同じように「out of question」がありますが、意味は「もちろん、疑いなく」といった意味となります。“THE”が付くか、付かないかで意味も違うので気をつけてください。

B: What? out of the question.

A: 2百万円貸して

B: 何をいっている？ 不可能だよ。
